Jason Kelce, Family Sponsor New Delaware County K-9 Officer

Eagles center Jason Kelce teamed up with Steve Videon of Videon Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep & Ram to sponsor Haverford's newest K-9 officer.

HAVERFORD TOWNSHIP, PA — The Haverford Township Police Department's newest canine officer is getting some support from a Philadelphia sports legend.

Police in Haverford announced Wednesday that Eagles center and captain Jason Kelce and his family have teamed up with Steve Videon, of Videon Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep & Ram, to sponsor the newest K-9 officer, Winnie.

Winnie is a 2-year-old black Labrador retriever who came from Pacific Coast K-9 this year, police said.

A a single-purpose narcotics detection dog who just graduated from Iron Rose K9 Academy, Winnie's already out on the street with her handler, Officer Anthony Patterson, police said.

Patterson and Winnie got to meet the Kelce family through the sponsorship.

Police said it was Videon who made the partnership possible.

"It was a memorable experience for all involved as K-9 Winnie showed off her impressive skills and affectionate demeanor," police said.
