HAVERFORD, PA — Haverford Township Board of Commissioners President Judy Trombetta officially launched her bid for Pennsylvania State Representative in the 166th District this weekend.

The 166th District seat is held by Democratic State Rep. Greg Vitali. Vitali has had the seat since 1993. Trombetta is seeking the Democratic nomination to challenge Vitali in the May 19 primary election.

Holmes also emphasized that these strengths don’t just define her character, but also prepare her to fight for the community and serve effectively as its next state representative.

"The overwhelming response I received is a clear and powerful call for change, and a demand from our community for a fresh voice in Harrisburg," Trombetta said. "I am deeply grateful for the support and energized to continue working alongside my neighbors to make our district an even better place to live, work, and raise a family."

The campaign launch provided an opportunity for neighbors, friends, and community leaders to come together and hear Trombetta's vision for the future, which focuses on community engagement, accessibility, and enhancing local services. Trombetta is also committed to listening to the needs and voices of all residents.

The campaign is now entering its next phase, with plans to engage voters through events, outreach, and volunteer efforts. Learn more about Trombetta's campaign online here.
