Kindergarten Registration To Start

It is that time of year again when schools across Haverford Township are reminding parents that kindergarten registration will be starting soon.

The following information comes from the Haverford School District:

Pre-registration call-in dates are from February 6– 10, 2012.

Registration appointments begin February 21, 2012.

If your child will be five years old on or before August 31, 2012 and is a resident of Haverford Township, he or she will be eligible to attend kindergarten during the 2012-2013 school year.

Parents and guardians should plan to begin the kindergarten registration process by calling their local elementary school during the week of February 6, 2012. Calls will be accepted between 8:30 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. only.

Callers will use their elementary school’s assigned extension number. This call-in process allows parents easy access to phone lines and gives the school and the district an accurate record of the order in which the calls are received.

... Creative Clubhouse offers an opportunity for children to learn beyond the classroom. Children are encouraged to question, investigate and learn through a variety of teaching methods. They'll cover science, nature, art, nutrition and more in an intimate, fun, supportive and nurturing environment.

The program follows the Haverford School District Calendar and is being offered Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays from 12:30-3:30. Tuition is $80 per week, which includes afternoon snack, field trips and all supplies.

Transportation and extended day options are available.
