Lane Closures Scheduled Next Week In Haverford For Bridge Replacement
Motorists are advised to allow additional time to pass through the area.

HAVERFORD, PA -- Lane restrictions will be put in place in Haverford next week on College Avenue for continuing bridge replacement work, the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation announced.
The restrictions will be in place from Monday, Feb. 27 through Friday, March 3 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., officials said. College Avenue between Walton Lane and Haverford Road will be affected.
Traffic will be controlled by flagging.

The project is part of PennDOT's $5.2 million endeavor to replace the College Avenue Bridge, which passes over SEPTA rail tracks and Cobbs Creek.
The new bridge will include two travel lanes and a left turn lane, in addition to a sidewalk and a shoulder. The bridge carries an average of 4,637 vehicles a day.

The project is scheduled to complete in November of 2017.
