Man Charged In Fatal Delco Hit-And-Run Taken Into Custody

SHARON HILL, PA — The man accused of striking and killing the daughter of a Delaware County police officer is in custody.

Domair Lee Brown, 31, of Sharon Hill, has was taken into custody on charges of homicide by vehicle, homicide by vehicle while DUI, false reports, tampering with evidence, and more.

Brown was arraigned Thursday afternoon on those charges after a warrant for his arrest was issued recently, court records show.

He is accused of being behind the wheel of the vehicle that struck 27-year-old Ashley McLean, of Glenolden, then drove off at about 2:30 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 26 at 84th Street and Lindbergh Boulevard in Sharon Hill.

McLean was the daughter of Folcroft Borough Police Officer Leslie McLean, who is a member of the Delaware County Fraternal Order of Police.

Brown is scheduled for a Sept. 27 preliminary hearing, court documents show.

Police on Aug. 27 charged the vehicle's owner, 47-year-old Monia Tabon, in connection with the crash.

Tabon is reportedly Brown’s girlfriend

She's charged with making false reports to police and felony criminal use of a communication facility, according to court records.

Tabon reported the vehicle stolen about an hour after the crash, but the vehicle showed no signs of being stolen when it was found in Philadelphia.

Tabon is being held on $100,000 bail, court documents show.

According to a GoFundMe set up for the McLean family, Ashley is survived by her two young daughters Aubrie and Charlotte, fiancé Brandon, her mother Leslie and her fiancé Ed, sister Amber, grandparents Debbie and Lou Defosse, father Steve McLean, stepmother Kelly, sister and brother Jenna and Matthew McLean.

Funds donated to the campaign will go to the Delaware County FOP Lodge 27.
