Man Filmed Sex With Child, Posted It On Social Media: Delco DA

A 19-year-old Philadelphia man is accused of filming himself having sex with a 12-year-old girl then posting it to social media.

DELAWARE COUNTY, PA — A Philadelphia man is accused of raping a 12-year-old girl in Delaware County and filming the incident then posting it to social media.

Delaware County District Attorney Jack Stollsteimer said Ibrahim Johnson, 19, of
Philadelphia, has been charged with the rape of a child, aggravated indecent assault of a child,
filming sex acts with a child, and dissemination of child pornography, all felony crimes.

On July 6, Detective Steven Bannar of the County’s Criminal Investigative Division got a report of suspected child abuse involving a 12-year-old girl.

The report said the child had sex with a man between 17 and 19 years old, and that a video of the abuse had been posted to Instagram and shared with the child’s mother and two siblings.

Bannar interviewed the victim’s mother, who she provided him with a copy of the video.

Authorities also interviewed the victim. The victim confirmed that she was depicted in the video, but she was unwilling to divulge the name of the defendant.

After the interview, the victim's father provided Bannar with the identity of the man.

Authorities said the victim was later able to confirm the identity of the man in a photo array, and she confirmed his name.

On August 24, authorities went to Johnson's home, but he was unwilling to speak with detectives without an attorney.

However, he turned himself in to police on Friday

Johnson's bail was set at 10 percent of $250,000 and preliminary hearing is scheduled for Sept. 30.
