A Man Sexually Assaulted Children In Delco And Maryland; There May Be Other Victims: Cops

Police in Delco contacted police in his home state, where investigators found another victim, authorities said.

UPPER CHICHESTER, PA — A Maryland man was arrested after authorities say he sexually assaulted a child in Delaware County and in his home state.

A sexual assault against a 14-year-old girl was reported April 19 to Upper Chichester Police. Investigators found that Jonathan Andrew Myers, 28, had "an unlawful sexual relationship" with the victim, police said.

As the investigation progress, police shared information with the Harford County Sheriff's Office in Maryland, which identified a different victim in its jurisdiction, police said. Myers lives in Harford County

Last week, Myers was arrested on charges related to the Maryland victim.

In Delco, he was charged Thursday with felony statutory sexual assault and similar offenses.

Myers remains jailed in Maryland, pending extradition to Pennsylvania.
