Man Strips Naked After Breaking Into Delco Daycare: Police

LINWOOD, PA — Numerous charges have been filed against a man who police said broke into a Delaware County daycare, stripped naked, broke glass, and spit blood at EMTs last week.

According to Lower Chichester Police, Saheir Sadler-Chandler, 18, of Linwood, was charged with 51 counts of simple assault, 51 counts of recklessly endangering another person, burglary, public drunkenness, and more crimes following a Thursday incident.

At about 2:50 p.m. Thursday, police were called to the Sonrise Christian Day School, 1627 Chichester Ave. in Linwood.

The caller said there was an intoxicated subject in front of the daycare.

Officers learned the man was armed with a pair of scissors, and was trying to get into the daycare from the lobby.

When the first officer got into the building, he found clothes strewn around the lobby.

The officers made his way to the second floor, where he heard loud banging and the sound of glass breaking.

After getting to the second floor, the officer found a large broken window and learned the man jumped from the second floor of the building.

Other officers showing up to the scene found the man, later identified as Sadler-Chandler, naked and covered in blood in the roadway, police said.

Sadler-Chandler eventually complied with officer commands and was taken into custody, police said.

Sadler-Chandler was treated by officers at the scene, but was eventually taken to Crozer-Chester Medical Center for evaluation and treatment.

While en route to CCMC, Sadler-Chandler spat blood and saliva on medical staff, police said.
