Meth, Cocaine, Guns, More Seized In Drug Bust: Marple PD

Authorities said they found meth, marijuana, cocaine, three guns, drug packaging material, and more during searches on Oct. 10.

ALDAN, PA — A months-long drug investigation led to numerous drugs, guns, cash, and more being seized and a Delaware County man being hit with a bevy of charges.

Edward Plumley, 48, of Aldan, was taken into custody Friday by Marple Township Police Officers and members of the Delaware County Narcotics Task Force on Oct. 10.

Authorities said they identified Plumley as a local drug trafficker who was distributing controlled substances in and around Marple Township.

A four-month investigation resulted in search warrants being executed, resulting in the seizure of drugs, drug paraphernalia, firearms, cash, and more, Marple Police said.

According to police, seized were:

  • roughly 1,600 grams of methamphetamine
  • 200 grams of cocaine
  • 850 grams of marijuana
  • 650 Buprenorphine and Naloxone Sublingual Film 8mg/2mg
  • 272 small, round, blue pills, imprinted with “M 30” that resemble Oxycodone Hydrochloride 30 mg, a Schedule 2 controlled substance
  • three firearms
  • ammunition
  • firearm holsters
  • bulk quantities of new/unused drug packaging
  • digital scales
  • a cell phone
  • about $15,000 cash
  • a 2001 Harley-Davidson Motorcycle
  • a 2018 Infiniti Q70 sedan
  • and a 2010 Honda Accord.

Plumley was charged with numerous counts of drug possession, firearm violations, and criminal use of a communications facility, according to court records.

He is being held on $500,000 bail and is scheduled for an Oct. 23 preliminary hearing, court documents show.
