HAVERTOWN— Haverford Middle School 8th grade Latin 1 students participated in the Philadelphia Classical Society Competition at the Baldwin School in late February. Students created Roman cultural and historical projects for Mr. Adam Henry’s Latin class. The best projects were then submitted to the competition at the Baldwin School in categories that included mosaics, reconstructions, drawings, paintings, and jewelry. In addition, Isabel Weir, Quinn Gallagher, Eric Liu, Audrey Woodman, and Corey Weiss won academic awards for earning the 5 top scores on the Latin proficiency test that was taken by 85 Latin students at Haverford Middle School. Students will receive their awards on Saturday, April 12th.
