Moms Eat Local: Ron's Cafe

Find out how kid-friendly Ron's Cafe in Havertown is.

Moms know how tough it can be to eat out with little ones. Patch wants to help you know before you walk in the door if Ron's Cafe is a good place to eat with your children.

Restaurant:

Is there a kids’ menu? Not officially but kids may order chicken fingers or a bowl of plain penne. In addition, kids will enjoy the gnocchi or linguini with marinara.

Are there healthy options on the kids’ meal? The pastas are low fat. The house salad is also a healthy option to start the meal. There are plenty of seafood and chicken items which are heart healthy, but be warned that they are regular size entrees.

How does the restaurant deal with food allergies? Alert your server and they will be as accommodating as possible.

Is the restaurant so quiet that any childish outburst will draw attention or is there enough noise that a small cry is likely to go unnoticed? When we went in there was plenty of loud conversation from the tables around us so a small cry would go unnoticed. However, I wouldn't classify this place as the most kid-friendly.
