New Ice Cream, Cookie Shop Helps Beat The Heat

Koffmeyer's offers some cool treats for ice cream lovers.

If you cannot beat the heat at the pool, the next best thing is to grab some ice cream.

Koffmeyer's Old Fashion Ice Cream and Cookies opened at its 7 Brookline Blvd. location in Havertown recently and has been serving a wide variety of tasty ice cream and cookies.

Eric Koffler, the son of Bruce Koffler who is owner of the business, said that once it gets hot, say around 80 degrees or so, people are walking outside and enjoying the nice weather. And if they are passing by the store, they usually stop in for a cold treat.

Since it opened its Havertown shop in March of this year—which features free wifi—Koffler said that some of the most popular cookies have been the classic chocolate chip, but also vanilla chip macadamia nut.

The Haverford-Havertown Patch’s junior taste testers agreed that the chocolate soft serve ice cream with sprinkles was excellent and the banana-fudge milkshake was pretty good.
