Gene broke his wrist a few days before the High Holidays this year. Rabbi Rigler asked David if he could play his flute in Gene’s place, and David ended up giving a beautiful solo performance in front of over two hundred people during Rosh Hashanah services.

David also played a solo concert for the residents of Martins Run Senior Living Community in Media recently. He played several Klezmer tunes for them, and the audience sang along.

David and his family started their own Martin Luther King Day tradition a few years ago. David and his friends join for a hike along Darby Creek in Havertown, and they see how much trash and litter they can collect – usually get several bags full!

In addition to flute, David’s interests include: piano, bicycling, Legos, and Star Wars.
