PA Auctioning 270 Vehicles Seized By Authorities

PENNSYLVANIA — What happens to vehicles seized by state authorities in Pennsylvania? They go up for auction and one (or more) could be yours.

The state is hosting an auction of 270 vehicles Tuesday at Manheim Keystone Pennsylvania, 488 Firehouse Road, Grantville. Auctioning begins at 10 a.m.

A variety of vehicles will be available, including a 2007 BMW 525XI, a 2009 Ford Flex, and a 2011 Mercedes Benz S550.

Additionally, vehicles no longer used by various state government agencies will be available. These include front- and all-wheel-drive sedans, mini-vans, Police interceptors, pick-up trucks, SUVs, utility vehicles and more from manufacturers such Chevrolet, Chrysler, Ford, Dodge, GMC, and Jeep.

Buyers must purchase with certified funds via money orders, cashier's checks, certified checks, or bank checks made payable to "Manheim Keystone PA." Cash won't be accepted.

Pre-registration and in-person previewing of the vehicles is available from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. now through Sunday at the auction site. Pre-registration is mandatory and must be completed on or before 4 p.m. Sunday. Day-of registration is not available.
