PHOTOS: Haverford Middle Schoolers Volunteer For MLK Day

HAVERTOWN, PA – A group of more than 30 students from Haverford Middle School showed their community mindedness by participating in the Martin Luther King Jr. Day of Service at a Philadelphia school recently.

Thirty-two members of the Haverford Middle School Student Council went to Overbrook Educational Center in Philadelphia to participate in the Day of Service.

The students were joined by 150 other volunteers from across the area in helping organize and beautify the school.

This was the ninth year Student Council participated in the citywide event, Haverford Middle School officials said.
