Pregnant Woman Fatally Shot Outside Delco Wawa
A 30-year-old Philadelphia woman was charged with first- and third-degree murder in connection with the deadly weekend shooting.
COLLINGDALE, PA — A pregnant woman was fatally shot outside a Delaware County Wawa over the weekend, and murder and related charges have been filed against a Philadelphia woman.
The shooting happened at about 7:20 p.m. Saturday outside the Wawa on the 900 block of MacDade Boulevard in Collingdale.
Police were called to the store for a report of a shooting and found a woman, later identified as 32-year-old Latoya Davis, who was pregnant, suffering from a gunshot wound. She was pronounced dead at 7:25 p.m., the Delaware County District Attorney's Office said.

Video footage, according to authorities, showed Davis running away when Williams shot her.
Evelena Williams, 30, of Philadelphia has been charged with homicide, homicide of an unborn child, first- and third- degree murder, recklessly endangering another person, and related crimes.

The DA's office said Williams stayed at the Wawa and told police she shot Davis with a .380 caliber firearm, then put the gun in her vehicle.
Williams did not say why she shot Davis.
Police found the gun in Davis's vehicle and a shell casing in the parking lot.
Williams is being held without bail and is scheduled for an Oct. 9 preliminary hearing, court documents show.
