Scenic Walking Trail Opens In Haverford Twp.
The paved pathway completes a longstanding gap on the Darby Creek Trail.
HAVERFORD TOWNSHIP, PA — A new walking trail with scenic creekside views has been constructed in Haverford Township.
The township has completed a paved path runs adjacent to Darby Creek from Jack McDonald Field to Merry Place. Before this, the southern end of the trail in Haverford Township had a gap between those locations.
It was previously thought that connecting the trail would require bridges. But years ago, the township bought a private residential property between both fields on Burmont Road, which went up for sale after a flood.
