DELAWARE COUNTY, PA — Over the past week, Delaware County has seen more than 250 new cases of the coronavirus and nine deaths, according to the latest data.
As of Friday, Delaware County's case count reached 11,348 cases reported since mid March.
Two hundred sixty-six new cases were identified between Sept. 17 and Friday.

Below is a breakdown of Delaware County coronavirus case counts by age group:
- 10 and under — 187
- 10 to 19 — 863
- 20 to 29 — 2,020
- 30 to 39 — 1,542
- 40 to 49 — 1,469
- 50 to 59 — 1,739
- 60 to 69 —1,393
- 70 to 79 — 845
- 80 and older — 1,289
Men account for 43.93 percent of all reported cases, and women account for 56.07 percent of all reported cases.

Of the 11,348 cases, 2,694 have been long term care facility or nursing home residents.
Twenty-seven of Delaware County's 62 long term care facilities and nursing homes have active outbreaks of the coronavirus.
While new cases over the last week were high, new coronavirus-related deaths were relatively low.
Just nine deaths were reported over the past week, bringing the county's total to 793.
Of those 793 deaths, 614 have been long term care facility or nursing home residents. All nine new deaths was a long term care facility or nursing home resident.

- Under 60 — 14
- 60 to 69 — 54
- 70 to 79 — 128
- 80 to 89 — 220
- 90 to 99 — 174
- 100 and older — 24
As of Friday, Delaware County has had 104,116 negative test results reported and an 84.02 percent recovery rate.
Upper Darby Township has seen the highest number of cases to date with 1,755. Middletown Township has seen the most coronavirus-related deaths to date with 164.
