DELAWARE COUNTY, PA — Coronavirus metrics in Delaware County haven't changed much in the past seven days, so what exactly are the figures provided by the state as of Friday?

Of the six key metrics examined by the state, two decreased, three increased, and one remained the same over the past seven days.

The two that saw drops were newly reports confirmed cases and the incidence rate per 100,000 people.

Both saw slight decreases, with cases going down from 563 to 558 and the rate dropping from 99.3 to 98.5.

The county's positivity rate, average daily COVID hospitalizations, and average daily COVID patients on ventilators increased, but not by much.

Positive testing increased from 5 percent to 5.6 percent.

Average hospitalizations are 35 this week, up from 33.6 last week.

And average ventilator use increased from4.6 to 5.6.

The percent of people showing up to hospitals with coronavirus-like illnesses stayed static at 1.6 percent.

In Delaware County, 310,686 people have been fully vaccinated and 40,645 have been partially covered. An additional 35,823 people have received additional doses since Aug. 13.

To date, the county has seen 54,429 confirmed cases and 1,509 coronavirus deaths.
