Stolen Vehicle, Fraud, Political Sign Thefts: Haverford Crime Blotter

Haverford Township Police said six political signs were stolen across the township between Oct. 9 and Oct. 13. See full details here.

HAVERFORD TOWNSHIP, PA — Police in Haverford Wednesday released details on recent crimes in the township.

These incidents occurred between Oct. 9 and Oct. 13.

The blotter also features arrests made and citations issued.

  • Theft at the unit block of Campbell Avenue on Oct. 9 at 6:48 p.m. – Political sign was stolen.
  • Theft at the 200 block of Merwood Lane on Oct. 10 at 6:40 p.m.– Political sign was stolen.
  • Fraud at the 1500 block of Sunnyhill Lane on Oct. 10 at 11:05 a.m. – Victim reported that unauthorized purchases were made with her credit card.
  • Theft at the 2400 block of Wynnefield Drive on Oct. 10 at 9:54 p.m. – Political sign was stolen.
  • Theft at the 2800 block of Belmont Avenue on Oct. 11 at 4:55 p.m. – Political sign was stolen.
  • Theft at the 2900 block of Oakford Road on Oct. 11 at 1:48 p.m. – Political sign was stolen.
  • Theft at the 700 block of Polo Circle on Oct. 11 at 2:45 p.m. – A package containing a cell phone was stolen after it was delivered.
  • Theft at McSorley’s Ale House, 2300 block of Haverford Road, on Oct. 11 at 7:39 p.m. – Victim reported that her wallet was stolen from her purse while she was having dinner. Multiple unauthorized purchases were made prior to canceling the credit cards.
  • Attempted Theft at the 3000 block of Robin Lane on Oct. 12 at 9:20 a.m. – Victim reported that his Ring camera captured an unknown male attempting to enter two vehicles. Both vehicles were locked and the offender was unsuccessful.
  • Motor Vehicle Theft at the 200 block of Whitemarsh Road on Oct. 12 at 9:52 a.m.
  • Theft at the unit block of Hillcrest Avenue on Oct. 12 at 9:13 a.m. – Unlocked vehicle was entered – a wallet was stolen.
  • Attempted Theft at the 2600 block of Hirst Terrace on Oct. 12 at 4:12 a.m. – Vehicle was entered – nothing was reported missing.
  • Theft at the 3000 block of Robin Lane on Oct. 12 at 9:41 a.m. – Unlocked vehicle was entered – a wallet was stolen.
  • Theft at the 1200 block of Bon Air Road on Oct. 12 at 8:52 a.m. – Unlocked vehicle was entered – a wallet was stolen.
  • Theft at the 2700 block of Overbrook Terrace on Oct. 13 at 7:38 p.m. – Political sign was stolen.
  • Bicycle Theft at the YMCA, 800 block of N. Eagle Road, on Oct. 13 at 7:04 p.m.
  • Theft at the unit block of Bryan Street on Oct. 14 at 12:29 p.m. – Basketball hoop was stolen.
  • Theft at Main Line Arts Center, 700 block of Panmure Road, on Oct. 15 at 5:57 p.m. – Two credit cards were stolen from the victim’s wallet. Over $750 in unauthorized purchases were made with the credit cards.
  • Retail Theft at Kohl’s, 200 block of West Chester Pike, on Oct. 15 at 9:08 a.m. – Two unknown females stole $304 worth of merchandise.

Arrests

  • 26-year-old male, unit block of Irwin Avenue, New Castle, DE. Charges: DUI, no rear lights, obscured license plate, possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia. Location: West Chester Pike and Glen Gary Drive. Date: Oct. 9 at 9:22 p.m.
  • 41-year-old male, 400 block of Glendale Road, Havertown. Charges: Unauthorized use of a vehicle, theft by unlawful taking and receiving stolen property. Location: 400 block of Glendale Road. Date: Oct. 9 at 12:31 p.m., incident occurred on Oct. 4.
  • 43-year-old female, 800 block of N. 66th Street, Philadelphia. Charges: Retail theft. Location: Giant, 100 block of W. Township Line Road. Date: Oct. 15 at 4:24 p.m.
