Stolen Vehicles, Fraud, Thefts, More: Haverford Crime Blotter

HAVERFORD TOWNSHIP, PA — Police in Haverford Township issued their latest crime blotter Wednesday.

The blotter includes incidents that occurred between Dec. 11 and Dec. 17. It also features arrests made and citations issued.

Incidents

  • Theft at the 700 block of Haverford Road on Dec. 11 at 10:42 a.m. – Two air conditioner units were stolen.
  • Retail Theft at Acme, 1300 block of West Chester Pike, on Dec. 11 at 2:40 p.m. – 19-year-old female, 5300 block of Delancey Street, Philadelphia, was cited for the retail theft of $56.07.
  • Theft at the 200 block of Pine Ridge Road on Dec. 11 at 1:41 p.m. – Victim received an email from an unknown subject demanding $2,000 in Bitcoin. They threatened to expose her internet search history to followers on her social media accounts if she did not comply.
  • Motor Vehicle Theft at the 800 block of Dover Road on Dec. 12 at 7:56 a.m.
  • Theft at the 1300 block of Delmont Avenue on Dec. 12 at 2:40 p.m. – Victim reported that he received a message on his computer from someone claiming to be from Microsoft. The subject stated that there was a virus on his computer, and he could rectify the virus but needed $5,000 in Lowe’s gift cards. The victim recognized the scam when the subject requested additional gift cards.
  • Retail Theft at Lowe’s, 100 block of W. Township Line Road, on Dec. 12 at 11:31 a.m. – An unknown male stole $159.96 worth of saw blades.
  • Fraud at the 400 block of Colfax Road on Dec. 13 at 4:46 p.m. – Victim received a phone call from a person claiming to be from Verizon. They stated that he needed to make a $202.92 payment via Zelle. The victim didn’t recognize the scam until the caller tried to get information to access his debit card.
  • Retail Theft at Kohl’s, 200 block of West Chester Pike, on Dec. 13 at 1:04 p.m. – An unknown male stole $85.99 worth of merchandise.
  • Motor Vehicle Theft at the 200 block of Pickwick Road on Dec. 16 at 1:07 p.m.
  • Theft at the 2900 block of Berkley Avenue on Dec. 16 at 9:59 a.m. – Vehicle was entered – nothing appeared to be missing.
  • Motor Vehicle Theft at the Quadrangle, 3300 block of Darby Road, on Dec. 17 at 7:59 a.m.
  • Theft at the unit block of Parkridge Drive on Dec. 17 at 7:24 p.m. – Unlocked vehicle was entered – a set of car and house keys were stolen.
  • Theft at the 5000 block of Brittany Lane on Dec. 17 at 11:38 a.m. – Unlocked vehicle was entered – a cellphone charging cable was stolen.
