Teacher From Delco Solicited Sex Acts, Photos From Student: Reports
Now former Philadelphia Percy Fields is accused of offering money in exchange for sex acts and explicit photos from a teenage student.
FOLCROFT, PA — A Delaware County man working as a teacher in Philadelphia has been charged with five crimes after authorities alleged he solicited a sexually explicit photos and sex acts from a student.
Court records show Percy Fields, 32, of Folcroft, is charged with unlawful contact with a minor, corruption of minors, possession of an instrument of crime, criminal use of a communication facility, and related crimes.
According to Fox 29, the student is a 16-year-old girl and attended Girls' High School in Philadelphia.

Court records show the incident date as Jan. 3.
The Philadelphia Inquirer reports Fields is accused of contacting the girl on social media and via text messages, asking for sexual photos and to get her to have a sexual relationship with him in exchange for money.

The allegations arose when another student learned of the situation and reported it to a counselor, who brought it to police, according to NBC10.
He resigned from his position Friday.
Fields was released after posting 10 percent of $35,000 bail Wednesday.
He is scheduled for a March 18 preliminary hearing.
