Teaching Artist Apprentices Needed for Summer 2017 Art Camp!
Teaching Artist Apprentices, Application, Main Line Art Center

This is an opportunity for individuals (ages 14 years and older) who are passionate about art and art education to gain working knowledge and build their portfolios and resumes. Teaching Artist Apprentices will gain classroom experience and build confidence through working with children attending the Art Center’s Summer Art Camp. TAAs will assist professional, experienced Teaching Artists with administering lesson plans and curriculum. Through this process, our TAAs will learn how to develop their own lesson plans and curriculum,as well as classroom management skills, while serving as mentors to aspiring child artists. The Apprenticeship program also makes a good match for individuals who simply enjoy sharing the visual arts with children.
The TAA position is unpaid, but volunteers hours can be exchanged for discounts on Main Line Art Center tuition (please inquire for information on the Rewards Program).
TAA must work 8:45 am-3:30 pm each day during their scheduled session(s)/week(s).
TAA’s daily schedule will be flexible so there will be opportunity to
rotate throughout different classes during the day to gain exposure to a
variety of mediums and teaching styles.
