Teen Arrested, Charged In Haverford Groping Incidents, Police Say

A 17-year-old Haverford resident is facing aggravated indecent assault and indecent assault charges, according to Haverford Police.

HAVERFORD TOWNSHIP, PA – Haverford Police said they have arrested a teenager in connection with groping incidents have been occurring in the township.

According to police, a 17-year-old township resident was arrested at about 1 p.m. Wednesday, May 2.

Police identified the teen as the alleged groper through numerous anonymous tips, as well as victim and witness descriptions of the suspect.

The teen has been charged with seven counts of indecent assault and one count of aggravated indecent assault, police said.

He is awaiting his hearing at the juvenile detention center in Lima, police said.

Police were alerted to a skateboard-toting person groping people on or near the SEPTA bus route in the Ardmore section of Haverford Township.

Five incidents were reported over about a year and a half
