With the Easter holiday coming, various services will be suspended in the area. Haverford Township said it is cancelling curbside collections Friday. According to the township, trash and recycling collection on Friday will be suspended in observance of Good Friday. Recycling will be collected on Monday April 17 and trash will be collected Wednesday, April 19. Regular trash and recycling collection will resume Friday, April 21. According to the township, trash and recycling collection on Friday will be suspended in observance of Good Friday. Recycling will be collected on Monday April 17 and trash will be collected Wednesday, April 19.

Regular trash and recycling collection will resume Friday, April 21. Haverford Township offices will also be closed Friday, April 14 for Good Friday.

Sarah Larsen, an award winning fiddler and educator, guides audiences through the life and recorded legacy of Kenny Baker. Highly regarded as the “Godfather of Bluegrass Fiddle”, Baker’s enduring career has influenced legions of fiddle players and delighted bluegrass fans for generations.
Tracing his early career through his tenure with Bill Monroe and the Blue Grass Boys and beyond, she will demonstrate Baker’s elegant “long-bow” style while highlighting some of his signature tunes.
2026 marks the 50th anniversary of the seminal album "Kenny Baker Plays Bill Monroe". Ms. Larsen will perform the album in its entirety. She is joined by Jim Pankey (banjo), Ryan Rogers (mandolin), Cory Chubb (guitar), and Rob Parks (bass).
