Virtual COVID Vaccine Town Hall To Educate Delco Residents

The "Healthy for the Holidays" COVID-19 vaccine town hall is scheduled for Wednesday evening and will feature local health officials.

DELAWARE COUNTY, PA — As Delaware County residents make holiday plans, whether hosting guests home or traveling, health officials want to make sure they are informed about the coronavirus for safe holidays.

The Delaware County Council a digital town hall event at 7 p.m. Wednesday.

"Healthy for the Holidays" aims to help ensure that residents have the latest COVID-19 information as the holiday season gets into full swing and residents gather with loved ones and travel.

Residents who wish to participate must pre-register for the Zoom event online here.

A panel of distinguished health experts will discuss the latest data regarding regional COVID-19
positivity rates and hospitalizations, boosters, variants, vaccine hesitancy, and more.

Panelists include Dr. Lisa O’Mahony, pediatrician and Delaware County Interim Physician Advisor; Dr. Patrick J. Brennan, Chief Medical Officer and Senior Vice President of University Pennsylvania Health System and Delaware County Board of Health member; Dr. Maria Barrett, associate professor, Widener University Center for Social Work Education; and Dr. Victor Rullan, epidemiologist for Delaware County.

Residents will have the ability to submit questions during the town hall, and the panel will answer as many questions during the town hall as time allows.

The event is expected to last about 90 minutes.
