White Dog Cafe Hosting Event Benefiting Veteran Service Dog Group

HAVERFORD, PA — White Dog Cafe in Haverford next week is hosting a dinner event that will help support veterans in need of service dogs.

Starting at 5 p.m. on Monday, Aug. 16, White Dog Cafe in Haverford, Wayne, and Glen Mills will host the 4th Annual Dining Out For The Dogs event.

The event will benefit Alpha Bravo Canine, which raises, trains, and donates trained service dogs to veterans suffering from post-traumatic stress disorder, traumatic brain injury, and other combat-related disabilities.

Proceeds from the dinner will help purchase puppies to be trained as a service dog for veterans.

Guests can also buy raffle tickets for prizes or join an online auction to win one of three pups painted on an ABC mural by artist Jay McClellan at the Glen Mills location.

There will be Puppy Kissing Booths at each location where guests can make a donation and cuddle and kiss one of the Alpha Bravo Canine puppies.

Guests can also donate $25 and book a VIP (very important puppy) table for outdoor seating with their pup based on availability, as well as other raffle prizes.

White Dog will also offer a Tito's Dirty Dog cocktail and flights of gourmet hot dogs, with proceeds going to Alpha Bravo Canine.

Alpha Bravo Canine is Philadelphia’s first and only 501(c)3 organization that donates service dogs to veterans suffering from debilitating medical and psychological problems as a result of their active combat duty. It is estimated that twenty percent of Iraq and Afghanistan veterans suffer from post-traumatic stress disorder and/or depression.
