Woman Hit Child With Car Then Drove Off In Delaware County: Police

Police said a white woman between 60 and 70 years old struck a 5-year-old boy with her car, yelled at the child, then drove off last week.

HAVERFORD TOWNSHIP, PA — Police in Haverford Township are asking for help investigating a hit-and-run that hurt a child last week.

The crash happened at about 4:17 p.m. Wednesday, May 3 in the area of 621 Dayton Road.

A 5-year-old child was crossing the road when he was struck by a vehicle.

Police said she stopped, got out, and yelled at the child before driving off.

The striking vehicle was a dark gray SUV, possibly a Honda CR-V, according to police.

Police are asking anyone who may have additional information on the incident to call Sgt. Long in the Special Operations Unit at 610-853-1298, extension 1165.
