Woman Tried To Steal $700-Plus In Items From Havertown Store: Police

Haverford Township Police said the woman seen here was unable to make off with more than $700 in items from the Havertown Giant store.

HAVERTOWN, PA — Police in Haverford Township are asking for the public's assistance in finding a woman who they said tried to steal several hundreds of dollars in items from a grocery store.

According to police, the incident occurred on June 2 at the Havertown Giant.

The woman seen above walked out of the store with a cart loaded with $714.39 in items, police said.

However, the woman was unable to make off with the merchandise when the cart's wheels locked up, and she was confronted by an employee, police said.

The woman left the area in a silver Honda Pilot with Connecticut license plates, police said.
