I'm actually not opposed to the 51st State of Jefferson. I am kinda fascinated in that The Mouse That Roared kinda way.
The only thing I see as a problem is where to put the extra star on the flag. If Monk(the TV show)was real he'd beg for nine more areas to claim seperate Statehood status. The 60 States of America. We could get used to that. 51? Meh.
The people involved are determined to make this happen as they feel strongly that CA does not uphold the kind of governing the majority feels would best serve it's residents and communities.
Smaller States, more personal representation. I really would like to see how it all works out.
