Along with fresh produce and baked goods, you'll find kids' activities, live music, artisan vendors, and even market hoodies, plus a special Halloween at the Market event on Oct. 25.
2. Man hospitalized with burns in Lower Saucon blaze, fire official says (lehighvalleylive.com) — Fire crews from Lower Saucon and Hellertown's Dewey Fire Company responded overnight to a serious house fire on Apple Street that left one man hospitalized with burn injuries. With no hydrants nearby, a Tender Task Force was called as firefighters battled intense flames and a partial structural collapse while investigators work to determine the cause.
3. Five Below Manager Accused Of Sexually Assaulting 19-Year-Old Employee In Bucks County Store (dailyvoice.com) — A 37-year-old Hellertown man is facing serious felony sex-assault charges after a 19-year-old employee reported an incident inside a Five Below store in Hilltown Township, Bucks County. Prosecutors say recorded phone calls captured him apologizing and admitting to parts of the encounter; he is being held on $200,000 bail while awaiting a November preliminary hearing.
4. East golfer Chris Gerheart places 2nd at district, qualifies for state tournament (poconorecord.com) — A major high school golf tournament at Steel Club in Hellertown saw Pocono Mountain East junior Chris Gerheart tie for second in the AAA boys field with a steady round of 75. Saucon Valley's Anthony Albano captured gold on the demanding course, while Gerheart's consistency earned him a trip to the PIAA state tournament later this month.
