Another Saucon Valley Student Accused of Selling Pain Pills

According to court papers cited by the Express-Times, 18-year-old Richard York of Hellertown has been charged with selling drugs in a school zone, reckless endangerment and prohibited acts.

According to court papers and police statements cited by the Express-Times, the latest incident involves 18-year-old Richard York, of the 700 block of Front Street, Hellertown.

York allegedly sold a 15-year-old female student two Percocet pills on Oct. 11, as they left on a school bus trip to New York City.

While in New York, the girl became ill and was hospitalized, according to court papers the article cites.

York was arraigned Monday before District Judge Roy Manwaring and committed to Northampton County Prison in lieu of $15,000 bail, according to the story.

Just yesterday, that he allegedly took from another person's prescription bottle.

In another incident from last week, and reported by police Monday, a 17-year-old male student is accused of selling Percocet to another student in a boys bathroom at the high school.
