What a crazy morning, the elementary crew was running late, so I decided, first time this year to drop them off. Perfect timing as I get a call from the nurse as we are leaving to pick 11 year old H as his finger bump with a football and his Gym Teacher yesterday was truly swelling and bruised. I shot him over to St. Lukes in Fountain Hill. I know my local ERS and this one is closest. Not my fave as we have had awful wait times there.
My thoughts were that it was near 10 AM, too early for the hypochondriac welfare med. assistance crowd, using the ER like a free clinic and the many Moms of low wage earners that bring their toddlers in with a heat rash, courtesy of public assisted benefits and using ER's, also, as PCP's.
I was pleased to find not much has changed there as far as waiting time, we got lucky and the only concern is a growth-plate fracture and a splint :)
