Check Out Video by Saucon Valley Students, and Vote
The middle school students are working on a project called "What's So Cool About Manufacturing?"
The following was provided to Patch by the Saucon Valley School District:
Nine members of the Eighth grade iTeam in the Saucon Valley Middle School have been working for months on a contest titled "What's So Cool About Manufacturing" under the mentoring of teachers Ms. Lesney and Ms. Thatcher.
There are sixteen other area schools involved in this contest. Β The task for each team was to create a two and a half minute video highlighting manufacturing at a local company.Β Saucon Valley wasΒ assignedΒ Just Born. Β
In December a small team visited the factory to learn about their manufacturing process and interview employees about their jobs. They had the experience of a lifetime! Β After taping at the company and working hours and hours after school, going through tape and editing, we are finally done. Β
The kids worked extremely hard on this video and want to make the Saucon Valley community proud of their hard work. Β The voting will take place fromΒ February 24-26th.Β Voting is open to the public, so we are trying to get the word out in order to generate as much community support as possible.Β
Here is how the video/voting page will work: The user opens the pageΒ (www.dreamitdoitpa.com)Β from the front carousel and will see thumbnail images of every video. Next to each video, there will be a button to vote for that video.
