College Funding 101: How To Pay For College and Not Go Broke!

College Financial Aid and Admissions Workshop. June 9th 6:00 P.M. Saucon Valley Community Center , 323 Northampton St., Hellertown PA

Local parents of high school Freshman, Sophomore, Junior, and Senior students (Students are welcome too!) are invited to attend our College Financial Aid and Admissions Workshop.      Free Admission!   Registration required.  

 

Spend an hour with us as we discuss College Funding, Financial Aid, and College Admissions.    Put yourself ahead of the vast majority of parents that may lose thousands of dollars in financial aid simply because they do not know the information we cover at our workshop!   This is an opportunity to hear college financial aid strategies that are            “I wish I knew that” caliber.

Our workshops are 100% educational.  There are no obligations to attend and hear our presentation. 

Parents will hear about the process to acquire financial aid, and we will discuss steps your student should be taking towards acceptance to their “ideal” college or university.

We will cover:

  • The FAFSA (Free Application For Federal Student Aid) application and process.   We will discuss what is the Expected Family Contribution Amount. ( What they expect you to pay!)
  • Timing!  When is the best time to begin the college search, and how do you determine what financial aid is available from colleges and universities you are interested in?
  • How is it possible to attend a pricey, private college for less-out-of-pocket than attending a state college or university?
  • Debunking the myth:  Your income and assets will prevent you from acquiring student financial aid.                     (It is possible to gain College financial aid and support!)
  • If you have been saving for college expenses, or you find your self short of your college funding objectives, what do you do now as college draws closer for your student.  How do you spend less of your money and acquire more financial aid and support


Seating is limited, and a maximum number of tickets per family is 4.  We accept registration for the first 60 free tickets.   We will notify you if you are on our waiting list.
