Don't Allow PennEast Pipeline to survey in Lower Saucon Township

PennEast Pipeline is coming door to door and asking landowner's the right to survey the property of the impending pipeline. Say "NO"!

This pipeline is going to be 36 inches wide and will be pumping natural gas to Trenton, N.J. where it will be placed in a “central holding facility” and speculation is, going overseas.  This gas will not be helping Pennsylvanians or Americans.  This pipeline will need a huge compression station every 40 miles of it’s 108 mile path.  Where will that be located?

Lower Saucon Township has seen eminent domain before with the Interstate 78.  Our properties were taken and our roads were restructured and we are left with noise and traffic.  Additionally, we have two massive landfills on either side of our township with Chrin Landfill burning methane gas 24/7.  We have a huge electrical power plant that was completed on Applebutter road that emits vast amounts of smoke daily. Finally, we have a large sewage treatment plant at the end of Applebutter road.  How much more property can be taken from Lower Saucon Township?   A pipeline brings in another source of pollution and concern for safety.  Between the sewage treatment plant, the landfills, and the pipeline-- what is going to happen to our well water?

Lower Saucon Township residents need to voice their concerns.  The Lower Saucon Township meetings are held the 1st and 3rd Wednesday of each month, starting at 7:00 pm at the Townhall at 3700 Old Philadelphia Pike, Bethlehem, PA.  Also, residents can submit their concerns to the FERC (Federal Regulatory Commission), www.ferc.gov and look for PennEast PF15-1 docket. There is a group called, the Concerned Citizens Against the Pipeline (CCAP) to keep current on what is happen.  Let’s work together to stop this pipeline from coming through.  There are numerous articles on the dangers of fracking and what fracking does to the water supply.  Once this pipeline is laid, the gas company gets more money and we get more taken away from us.
