How to Manifest Your Desires

Last fall I took a workshop with Charles Virtue, Doreen Virtue's (author and Angel Therapy Practitioner) son. The workshop was about manifestation. I couldn't help but to focus all my attention on him the entire time because his energy is so enlightening. He is on such a high vibration that you cannot help but to feel the positivity radiating off of him. It does help that he is extremely handsome at 6+ feet tall with a smile that could knock your socks off. :) In all honesty, it is very easy to find someone who radiates light attractive and interesting. Here is what I took from his lecture:

Of course the first important key is to remember the law of attraction. The second key is knowing what you want. Creating a visualization board is a great way to be reminded of what we are working towards. My son and I worked on visualization boards, one for each of us. He has his future car, home, pets, vacations and other things pictured on it and hanging in his room. My son is only 13. But I believe this is a great idea for children of any age. Yes, our goals and desires change but we can always replace the old pictures with our new ones. This board can be done on a bulletin board, in a picture frame, poster board or wherever you can have it displayed so that you can see it often. Visualization is a very important factor in making your manifestations happen faster.

Try this technique: First pick what you want to manifest. We will say it is a new home for this exercise. Close your eyes somewhere where you will not be disturbed. Take a few deep breaths and visualize your perfect house. Now go inside paying attention to all the details; the door knob, the paint color, the smells, the floor beneath your feet. Walk into the kitchen and open the refrigerator. You see a bottle of water on the top shelf. Take out the water, close the door. Feel the coldness on the palm of your hand. You open the cap and take a sip. Take notice to the cold, wet sensation in your mouth as you swallow. Look around your home feeling grateful for every inch of it. Walk into your living room and sit on your couch. How does it feel? Can you see out a window? What is outside? What kind of TV do you have? What kind of decor do you have?

When we put action into manifesting our goals, they manifest faster. And the reason this happens is because the Universe will think we already have what we want. Being grateful is also a key to manifesting. And be grateful as though you already have what you want. You can state it as, "I am so grateful now that I have my new home." Or, fill that in to be whatever it is that you desire.

Be careful what you wish for though. You could be manifesting a big lesson. I like to have my goals and dreams written out for me but I also like to remind myself that everything happens in Divine timing, when we are ready. I like to have ideas about my future but I also live in the moment knowing that whatever is good for my journey will be delivered to me at the right time. I still practice visualization, set intentions, and write out my desires. But I release them to a Higher Power so that I have no worries or fears about when or how they will come into fruition. Our doubt and fears will keep us from manifesting what we want. Realize that you are worth all of your dreams. And when someone says, "You can't do that", say to them, "Watch me!" Anything is possible. Use the power of prayer, the power of gratitude, and the power of visualization. You can even start small by manifesting a front row parking spot at the mall or grocery store. Visualize parking close and know that it will happen. It may take a moment or two but it will happen. Have fun creating the life of your dreams!
