Obituary: Wallace E. Karte, 74, of Lower Milford

Wallace E. Karte, 74, of Lower Milford Township, died Monday, Feb. 27, 2012 at St. Luke's Hospital, Quakertown. He was the husband of M. Joanna (Stauffer) Karte. He was born in Fountain Hill on Aug. 9, 1937 to the late Edward H. and Elizabeth A. (Kurtz) Karte. He served our country faithfully in the U.S. Marine Corps during peacetime. He owned and operated Wally Karte Roofing and Siding, of Zionsville, for more than 50 years until retiring. Wallace was a member of St. Peter's Lutheran Church, Macungie.

Survivors:

In addition to his loving wife of 45 years; children: Jody Ann Martin of Cutler Bay, Fla., Judy Ann (Brian) Steffen of Coopersburg, and Kerry E. (Terri) Karte of Perkasie; grandchildren: William James, Nolan Steffen, Kaci and Jake Karte; great-grandchildren: Amber James and Kailyn Maynard.

Service:

Family and friends are invited to call from 9:30 to 10am Saturday, March 3, 2012 at St. Peter's Lutheran Church, 7863 St. Peter's Road, Macungie.
