Police: Easton Mom Drove Drunk with Daughter in Car

An Easton mother is charged with DUI after police say she drove while intoxicated with her 5-year-old daughter in her vehicle.

Police arrested Shannon Collura, 30, of 914 Porter St., Easton, after she was observed allegedly traveling at a high rate of speed and almost losing control of her vehicle going around a corner on Springtown Hill Road on the afternoon of Feb. 23.

Police say Collura, who was determined to have a blood alcohol concentration of .08 percent, had her 5-year-old daughter in the vehicle with her at the time.

In addition to DUI, Collura was also charged with careless driving "because of her careless disregard for the safety of her...daughter," police said.
