2 House Fires Reported In Horsham Township

The Horsham Township Fire Company had a busy 24-hour period, Horsham ChATs said.

HORSHAM TOWNSHIP, PA —The Horsham Township Fire Company handled two minor house fires on Wednesday, officials said.

In fact, the fire company had a busy 24 hours, Horsham Community Policing Services said Thursday morning.

Horsham fire crews and mutual aid partners responded Wednesday afternoon to the 400 block of Lower State Road for the report of a house fire.

The fire had been extinguished by the homeowner upon arrival, Horsham ChATs said.

Then, at 5:25 p.m., fire crews were dispatched to a kitchen fire on the 600 block of Wade Avenue.

It was a grease fire that also got extinguished, according to Emergency Alerts of Southeastern Pennsylvania.

Two more calls came in for the fire company early Thursday morning, Horsham ChATs said.

At 12:45 a.m. Thursday, fire crews assisted EMS on a call at the 600 block of Roosevelt Drive. The final call came in at 6:07 a.m. for an alarm call at the 700 block of Butler Pike.

Horsham ChATs said there may be an issue with a smoke detector at the Horsham Clinic.
