40 ADA Ramps Coming To Horsham Township Streets

Horsham Township Council approved a bid for a $203,000 contract with JDC Construction Services Inc. of Morrisville.

HORSHAM TOWNSHIP, PA — More ADA ramps are coming to the township after being approved by the Horsham Township Council at a recent meeting.

The council unanimously signed off on a $203,000 contract with JDC Construction Services Inc. of Morrisville for $203,000 to build 40 accessibility ramps along township streets in compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act.

The township received 14 bids on the work. The highest bid was for $722,000.

In other township business:

The township will not oppose a fence around the backyard of a corner lot on Senecal Lane or a gazebo on Hill Avenue.

The council also remained neutral on three zoning hearing board applications.

VV900 Business LLC sought a special exception to allow retail sales for a Colonial Marble and Granite operation at 900 Business Center Drive.

The retail sales part of the business would be by appointment only. The council seemed open to the special exception request.

The marble and granite business could bring about 100 jobs to the township.
