6 Montgomery County Grocery Stores Now Approved To Sell Wine
Grocery stores in Horsham, Willow Grove and North Wales are among the Montgomery County locations with new approval to sell wine.

Local retailers have been quick to capitalize on the new liquor reform laws recently passed in Pennsylvania.
The new law, approved in June and effective since Aug. 8, means approved grocery stores, restaurants and hotels can now sell up to four bottles of wine for takeout.
Six stores in Montgomery County have already received approval, including locations in Horsham, Willow Grove and North Wales.

The day the law went into effect, the Pennsylvania Liquor Control Board began accepting requests for various new licenses and permits allowed under the new legislation. So far, according to Pennsylvania Liquor Control Board Director of Communications Elizabeth Brassell, 84 applications for expanded wine sales have been approved.
More stores will be added to the list as approvals continue.

The following Montgomery County grocery stores are among the 84 currently approved:
- 681 COMPLEX, 680 N EASTON RD, HORSHAM
- ACME MARKETS, 1640 BETHLEHEM PK, FLOURTOWN
- GIANT FOOD STORES, 1874 BETHLEHEM PK, FLOURTOWN
- GIANT FOOD STORES, 1201 KNAPP RD, NORTH WALES
- GIANT FOOD STORES LLC, 315 YORK RD, WILLOW GROVE
- THE BOAT HOUSE, INC, 113-115 FAYETTE ST, CONSHOHOCKEN

Other measures in place due to Pennsylvania's liquor reform include removal of Sunday restrictions and state-mandated holidays at state-controlled liquor stores, among other things. Click here to read more about the new law's impacts.
