$675K Awarded For Horsham Road Paving Projects

Horsham Township Council recently approved bids for road paving and other work. Find out how much the contracts are worth below.

HORSHAM TOWNSHIP, PA —The township has addressed its paving, milling, ADA ramps, and line painting needs. And it had plenty of contractors to choose from.

At a recent meeting, Horsham Township Council awarded four bids for contractors to handle the township's paving needs.

The total cost for the contracts is around $675,000.

Paving will be split between the Horsham Township Public Works Department and Glasgow Inc., which was awarded its $444,785 bid.

Township Manager Bill Walker said the paving process attracted 10 10 bidders, the most in quite some time.

Milling work was awarded to J.D. Morrissey for $74,938.

Meanwhile, A1 Traffic Control Products will be paid $60,600 for line painting. JPC Construction Services will be paid $90,780 for ADA ramps.

In other township news at the April 10 council meeting:

  • The council reviewed a subdivision plan for a 10-acre parcel at 1151 W. County Line Rd. The lot would be divided into two lots with an additional house for a family member on 1.6 acres. The council was expected to vote on preliminary final approval at its meeting on Monday.
  • A resident stated that construction from the Keith Valley Middle School site was making her life miserable. She said that work begins at 7 a.m. each day and lasts until after 7 p.m.
  • A resident also brought a complaint from a neighbor about stormwater issues at Toll Brothers’ Regency at Waterside development. The complaint involves rainwater pooling along her property’s boundary with the development.
  • Walker said the township would contact both the school district and Toll Brothers about the complaints.
