All-American Runner Stays Local, Signs With Villanova

All-American, Foot Locker National Championship finalist Casey Comber will continue his career with one of the NCAA’s preeminent cross country programs.

He has announced that he will sign with Villanova University, according to his Twitter account.

Comber has had an illustrious high school career, capped by a 20th place finish at the Foot Locker National Cross Country Championships in 2014.

In 2014, he ran 4:19 for 1600 meters and 9:17 for 3200 meters, according to Milesplit.

He also placed 6th at the 2014 Pennsylvania State Cross Country Championships, before being the top Pennsylvania finisher at Foot Locker.

Comber will join a Villanova team primed for continued national success. The Wildcat men are coming off a banner year in 2014, placing 7th at the NCAA Division 1 National Championships.
