HR 134 directs the Joint State Government Commission to conduct a comprehensive study of Pennsylvania’s home and community-based services waiver programs for individuals with physical disabilities, intellectual disabilities, autism, and other developmental disabilities.

The goal is to identify ways to streamline the application process, improve service delivery, and make these critical supports easier for individuals and families to access.

"For too many Pennsylvanians, navigating the waiver system can feel overwhelming, confusing, and far too slow," Cerrato said. "Families should not have to fight through unnecessary barriers just to access the care and support their loved ones need to live safely, independently, and with dignity in their communities."

Cerrato said she is grateful to my colleagues on the Human Services Committee for advancing this resolution with bipartisan support.

"I look forward to continuing this work to make our systems more responsive, compassionate, and accessible for the people who depend on them," Cerrato said.
