West Monument Avenue Bridge Closing For Several Days

HATBORO, PA — The West Monument Avenue Bridge will be closed for repairs and maintenance starting on Wednesday.

Borough officials said the bridge is expected to reopen on Monday.

No traffic will be permitted to use the bridge during the closure, and police will enforce any violators, officials said.

"We are aware that many use this road due to the West Moreland Avenue bridge closure, but because of this closure, West Monument Avenue has seen an increase in traffic, and this is why the bridge needs to be closed for repairs and maintenance to ensure the life expectancy of the bridge," officials said.

Drivers will need to use the approved detour for the West Moreland Avenue bridge closure while this bridge is closed, officials said.
