HATBORO / HORSHAM TOWNSHIP, PA — With summer break, capital projects are underway this summer to get ready for the 2026-2027 school year.
The Hatboro-Horsham School Board was recently updated on the progress of the Keith Valley Middle School construction project and other summer capital projects.
The school administration and Jamie Lynch, construction manager from CHA, presented the update.
At Keith Valley Middle School, the athletic fields are progressing.
While the retaining wall is now complete, construction crews are stabilizing the north end of the football field, officials said.

Lynch said that some issues with the middle school gym floor have been identified as well and will be reviewed to make sure the installation is proper.
He did provide some good news: The cost of the existing building tunnel demolition was lower than expected, resulting in savings.
Lynch also reviewed current cost breakdowns for each project, ensuring that the overall project budget has been met.
Demolition of the Simmons Elementary School pool has been underway, as well as the replacement of the high school tennis courts.
The district's finance director Bill Stone has also reviewed the progress of the Simmons elevator project.
He outlined the construction schedule, which is on track to be completed by the end of the summer.
Meanwhile, an air handling unit at the Hatboro-Horsham High School cafeteria is also being replaced.
