Flash Flooding Hits Hatboro-Horsham Roads, Neighborhoods

Several thunderstorms late Thursday afternoon flooded several area of Hatboro and Horsham, authorities and residents reported.

HATBORO / HORSHAM TOWNSHIP, PA — Flash flooding swept through areas of Hatboro and Horsham Township from the late afternoon storm on Thursday.

Horsham Community Police Services said it was a "very busy evening" for the fire department and EMS due to the flash flooding.

Horsham ChATs said there were six calls on Thursday for fire service: A fire alarm in the 200 block of Keith Valley Road, fire police needed at Blair Mill and Crestview roads, fire police needed at Keith Valley and Governor roads, a water rescue on Blair Mill and Norwyn roads, fire police needed on West County Line and Meetinghouse roads, and another water rescue at West Monument and Flamingo roads.

Meanwhile, in Hatboro, residents posted pictures on Hatboro community Facebook pages showing flooding on Watson Avenue, Earl Lane behind Crooked Billet School, and also behind Robert Bruce apartments, among other spots.
