Milling, Paving Work Underway In Horsham

HORSHAM TOWNSHIP, PA — The township's milling and paving contractor has started work on several roads that will last over the next several days.

Township officials said that contractor James D. Morrissey was scheduled to start milling Brownstone Lane, Brownstone Drive, Horseshoe Lane, Horseshoe Circle, Cobblestone Circle, Cobblestone Drive, and Carriage Drive on Friday.

Milling was then expected at Hidden Meadows (Coach Road, Colonial Drive, Lamplighter Road, & Lantern Lane) on Monday and Tuesday.

Milling is planned for Sarah's Lane, Bark Hollow Lane, Logger Mill Road, Lumber Jack Circle, and Downey Drive on Wednesday and Thursday.

Paving crews will be about 2-4 days behind the milling to start handwork and paving, township officials said.

During the paving projects, all streets will be open to local traffic and emergency vehicles.

Anyone who lives on a road that is being resurfaced will be allowed access to and from their homes.

Other residents using these roads should plan for extended traffic congestion, brief total road closures, and detoured routes.

Township officials said residents should keep in mind that the schedule is subject to change.

Residents should also keep children and pets away from areas until complete and use caution at all times to avoid harm since the asphalt is hot.
