HATBORO, PA — The borough is mourning the loss of a member of its public works department.
"Your service, dedication, friendship, and smile will always be remembered," borough officials said.
Cleghorn was born in Kentucky and raised in Hatboro.
In 2001, he joined the Hatboro Public Works Department as a laborer, a position he held until his death.
Cleghorn raised his family in Hatboro and loved and faithfully served the community throughout his life.
He was a devoted son, husband, father, grandfather, uncle, friend, and dedicated employee, officials said.
Known for his strong work ethic and unwavering commitment to the community, Cleghorn could often be seen driving Unit 19, the borough's trash truck, through the streets on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays.
"Keith was known not only for his hard work but also for his positive spirit," officials said. "He always greeted others with a smile, even while courageously battling his illness. His kindness, determination, and unwavering commitment left a lasting impression on everyone who had the privilege of knowing him and working alongside him."
Cleghorn is survived by his mother, his children, his extended family, and the many friends and coworkers whose lives he touched throughout the years.
Funeral arrangements are being handled by Schneider Funeral Home of Hatboro.
